Michele Jones is a self-taught artist who has been drawing and painting since childhood. She was the co-founder and teacher of the art program at UCSF Children's Hospital in San Francisco. She has also worked with the non-profit organization Arts: A Reason To Survive in San Diego and served as Director and Board Member for the Creative Healing Project in San Francisco. Through both organizations she taught art to terminally ill children and children facing challenges in their lives at Children's Hospitals, Ronald McDonald House and Catholic Charities.
Michele has mentored art students in Napa Valley that are all children of local winery owners. She has also taught various art and jewelry classes at World Beat Center and other local community centers. In addition, Michele has been producing and exhibiting in large art shows in the San Diego area since 2004.
